It used to be free now they charge like wounded bulls. I though I try the free trial now and surprise you cannot report while you on the trial period. What is the point?….. Yeah and ffuccck the idiotts at ATO.

Regrettable that Payroller who had previously committed to providing a free STP compliant app for microemployers, are now charging an inflated monthly subscription for all (unless merely 1 employee) which is actually significantly more than Reckon Payroll (the app I dropped, lured by the Payroller promise of an ongoing free service for microemployers). I understand that there is a cost in designing, hosting and supporting a “loss leader free service” however I am outraged that a more expensive monthly subscription is now charged even for microemployers and to do it right in the middle of a financial year is unconscionable (essentially extortionate). Fortunately I have found and spoken to e-Payday Go who provide a best in class STP compliant web-based app that is still free for employers with 2 or less employees. For Australian microemployers outraged at now being charged a subscription merely for meeting ATO notification requirements, e-Payday Go is a “must consider” payroll application that has an excellent user interface (unlike the child-like “toy” look and feel of this Payroller mobile app) and is brilliantly supported (you need to subscribe for one month, but only one month to get top-level support). There are no reasons whatsoever for microemployers to use and suffer the blatant recent price-gouging of the Payroller app now.
Buggy mess w/ terrible UX
The user interface appears to have been designed by a toddler with crayons. UI text elements are replete with emojis in lieu of correct grammar. The same text is often non-sensical and in the case of confirmation prompts, can easily induce errors. The app is not time zone aware and will submit erroneous data to the ATO when used outside Australian Eastern Time. Save yourself immense pain and do not use this flaming pile of garbage.
