Description
The Polar-Aligner is a great tool to align your equatorial telescope mount
Attention:
Unfortunately, the app keeps getting bad reviews because the compass or spirit level doesn't work. This is then because the device does not have a compass sensor or a tilt sensor. An understanding from the buyer is very rare. A refund is of course possible. So please convince yourself before buying whether your device has the following sensors.

-Compass sensor
-Tilt sensor
-GPS

The Polar-Aligner is a simple astronomical application for the northern and southern hemisphere to help you to align your mount easily. It includes basic tools for leveling your equatorial mount (spirit level) and to adjust it to north (compass).
Now you can calibrate your spirit level with a real spiritlevel and have the highest accuracy for a smartphone.

Now the daylight alignment is included for north and south hemisphere.

The GPS gives you the most accurate information about your location with the altitude and calculate the position of Polaris and show you graphically the Polaris position, the Hourangle, exact location ....

You get also information about Drift-Alignment. The tool helps you to get the right direction for the alignment. With the calculator, you can get the calculated result to align your mount with a small error.

Your app only works with internet connection for scope view. There are many places I visit in Himalayas where internet connection is not there. Applying for refund.

It's always off maybe 10-15 degrees west. My compass gives a better reading of north.

I would love the option to see how Polaris would look thru the telrad. I can very carefully align the telrad to point exactly on a star.

This app does not adjust correctly for the mirrored right angled Astro Physics RAPAS polar alignment scope. If you thought it was correct and used the app for alignment, you would be way off. Please fix this oversight.

I find this to be very helpful for daytime solar photography, I use an EQ mount, Coronado 60mm solar max single stack telescope, Player One Apollo M Mini camera, made a special plate to set my Samsung phone, to help with daytime alignment, during capture, using SharpCap Pro, I notice I have to make fewer corrections on the EQ mount, thanks to this app, getting ready for the upcoming solar eclipse in April 8 2024
