The phone battery indicator works only if you connect the smartwatch to Android phone device and install companion app. It is not required feature and the app will work normally without the companion app.

I love this watch face, the preset colors are great but I absolutely love the hand movements. I find it hard to look away after I see the time. Worth buying for sure.
