Always signing me out I have had the app installed for 5 days and singed out 3 times with a message "Signed out for your security due to inactivity". The sign in doesn't allow for copy paste (from my password manager). My password is intentionally complex making it frustrating to have to retype every few days. Biometrics is enabled however not once have I been prompted with the option to use it to sign in. If not needed for my car - I would uninstall in a heartbeat.
This app takes minutes to react, receive or send commands. There are a ton of features missing such as adjusting your charge settings. What's the point of having an app, when you have to physically go inside the car to change charge limits... Remote charge start often fails. There was a Home Assistant plugin that improved a lot of these awful app decisions made by Mazda, which Mazda illegally removed because they wrongfully claimed it infringed their app... What a awful tasteless decision.
I wish I can give a better score but is a very bad application. Is slow, it fails most of the time to start the engine. Gives big warnings for nothing (other than make you feel you need this app a lot), it is free only for two years (how is now that is plenty of time to get frustrated). Why they don't put remote engine start in the key fob??? In the app works ONLY if you have data connection. This is an outdoors SUV! So dissatisfied, I love the car (CX-50) though.
Working good with mazda cx5 2021. Grand Turing FWD
Terrible experience. The key was inside the car and I couldn't open it with the app. Solution? Road assistance: result: door compromised and two scratches.
It makes zero sense to remote start your car and have it turn off the moment you get in. Also, remote start should be a basic feature fir any car you're paying over 25 grand for, in my opinion. Besides your cara statistical data, its a worthless app they just collect your driving data from.
A neat idea but still nonfunctional in some of the most important features. A few examples: The mymazda service scheduling does not work in the mobile app. I only get a blank page. I have written to mymazda about this and have never received a response. The Guides section does not provide a manual but a series of videos. These videos are useless in a situation where you do not have direct high speed WiFi access to the internet. They are also limited in number and breadth.
