πŸ” Scan, Discover & Compare Over 3 Million Food Products

The app allows to scan the 3 million products already contained in the free and open database Open Food Facts.
The app is collaborative. If we don't have the product, you can add pictures and data to get the Nutri-Score and NOVA score on food processing.

In short, we're kind of "the Wikipedia of food", as many have nicknamed the project. Open Food Facts has enabled the creation of over 100 apps like Date Limite, Yuka or FoodVisor.

Great app so far ... I want it to help me check whether supermarket foods are processed or ultra-processed, and what additives they contain.

I scanned a product that wasn't known yet and had to fill in all the details myself. It was laborious, and it wouldn't let me edit mistakes. Then I started wondering what the point is of the app if all that's in the app is whatever is on the labels. I can read the labels myself in the store, so why do I need the app?

Love the app, easy to use, and is open source.

useful in getting overview what many products contain, sometimes a bit too extensive to fill in, sometimes not clear what exactly they want to know and how to get that - e.g. packaging information

The app is nice but there is no option to see the photos of the product
