Permissions
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
Optional permission that can be granted if Foldersync should detect SSID name on Android 9 or newer.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Needed to determine current network state
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
Needed to access info about the current WiFi state (SSID etc.)
CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE/CHANGE_WIFI_STATE
These two are needed to be allowed to turn WiFi on and off
CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE
Needed to autodiscover WebDAV, SMB, FTP and SFTP servers using Bonjour/UPNP protocol

This app seems to do exactly what I need it to with one unfortunate exception: It does not appear to offer a method to login at startup on Android as it does on Desktop. So, while I'm rating this app a 4 for its great feature set, it's absolutely unusable in my use case as my wife wants something that she doesn't have to think about. Other sync apps offer this ability so I would recommend to the developer that they add this feature to solidify end-to-end ease of use.
Great app overall. It seems to get confused with the case of folders though. For example I have two folders that are identical other than the case of one of the letters (don't ask me why, suffice it to say that it isn't something I can fix) and the app seems to only recognize one of them. It's as though it thinks they are the same folder so it skips one of them after syncing the other. Other than that, it works great :)
How to explore shared folder if android forbid it. Can you just make shared folder in download?
Endless conflict nightmare. FolderSync, the epitome of frustration and inefficiency. Attempting to sync Dropbox with any device using this app is like willingly stepping into a never-ending labyrinth of conflicts. Each sync attempt is met with a barrage of errors, even if I forcefully upload and try again, the conflict never seems to be solved.
I tried the app,but unfortunately the app cant sync virtual storage for dual messenger on samsung one ui. Only the main storage can be seen on the folderpair setup.

App is full of anti-patterns. When I first installed the app it seemed fine. About a week later though it popped up a GDPR consent dialogue with about 200 ad companies pre-enabled (plus 2 buttons side by side - Accept All and Set). I thought about buying the paid version instead - there's an upgrade button in the app. If you tap it tho, it tries to check straight out rather than showing the price. It's hard not to feel that that kind of user hostile design is just going to increase over time.
Fix MEGA deleting files.
