While technically it is free to play, you won't get anywhere in the daily events without paying money. Even with a vip membership I sometimes can't complete the tasks. It's very badly balanced with items. You get plenty of cards but no resources to upgrade them or you get plenty of resources but no cards to use them on
I like the game and the character usage, and the stories (even though it's frustrating to not know how some of them end). My biggest pain is ads: some of them (not the Google AdSense ones) are deceptive with closing windows. Angry Birds ads in particular. When they open the phone memory use closes the DW game. It restarts the game, I don't get the reward for seeing an ad. I hope uninstalling the other games fix this, but the disruption discourages me from triggering the non-timed event rewards.
It's nice I'm a doctor who fan

Good game, maybe even a great game if you are a fan of Doctor Who. I mostly play these as sort of idle throwaway games. My biggest issue is slow progress. I would be upgrading more often, but the game has specific times in which it wants you to do so. It knows how to retroactively follow progress as noted by the 7 day event, but upgrade a waypoint too early? Oops, better hope you saved up enough cards to do it now. Good alternate events to keep you busy.
I like the story lines well enoigh but there aren't enough eposodes to remain as an active player
When will devs realise that watching videos does not equate to free items. Saying something is free, and receiving them for doing nothing versus watching an advert and wasting my time (for the sole benefit of the dev) are two completely different things.
