WKTV - StormTracker 2 Weather

Update 25 March, 2023- This app is getting more horrible by the day. Full screen pop up ads with every click inside the app. 15-30 ads without a skip ad option and sometimes up to 60 minutes. App is not recommended. This is an update. This app was once a great app, now it’s in the ad dump area. Lately I’ve noticed 10-15 second ads have gone up like Inflation and the price of eggs. Now you are shackled to 1 of 10 ads from 30 second ads to a full blown minute. With no SKIP AD “option” guess what, you are forced to watch all of them in this app. I’ve contacted the station and they are forwarding my email to the right department.

The expectation is for you to watch 10 ads before you can see one weather video. This could be a good local weather app for CNY. But with all of the ads and no way to opt out of them, it’s more like an app for generating ad income versus a weather app.

App is getting better……. It’s a weather app, not an ad app. Give us an option to use without ads. I don’t need to wait for a 30 second (was 15) ad to play when I need an update time now!!! Put an automatic mute on all ads, let us unmute if we desire to watch these unnecessary ads. I know it creates revenue, but again I say, give us an option to purchase without ads.

Update 1-26-2020. Really now more ads. Now on the current Weather broadcast radar video ad of 15 seconds. Pathetic. Still 1 star and I won’t be updating this anytime soon. Will be looking for something else now. During a severe storm and special weather statement i need precise location, not 10 miles away. Normally it has been great but lately not working smoothly. Radar loads but no coverage. In order to get coverage i either have to shut my phone off than back on or uninstall and install. Until fixed i am deleting app. Update: 18 June 2020. Just getting worse and worse. Now I have to keep deleting app and reinstalling because it’s says I’m in Puerto Rico. Wow. Really. Time for an update. HOT GARBAGE Update 8 July 2021. No more weather forecast from their half hour news broadcast, instead to get the latest forecast you have to watch the full news with horrendous high volume ads in between breaks. Been like this for months. Sad very sad. Finally an update!!!!!!!!!! Hippie with weather forecast.

Love local - but this new version has too many ads for me. I prefer to use a few other apps with less direct, pop up ads. Instead, checkout Storm, Wunderground, AccuWeather and even WillyWeather. :/. Cut back on the full screen pop up ads in future versions, please.
