With “WiFi Priority“ it is finally possible to prioritize to which available network to connect first! Generally all iOS devices rank available WiFi networks alphabetically and connect to the topmost known network in that list first. However, there are situations in which you may want to avoid that and prefer to connect to another known network instead. This is where “WiFi Priority“ comes to your aid. It simply lets you disable the auto-join function for selected networks and thus prioritize the one that you prefer by creating and installing a configuration profile on the device. Instead of making your device forget the topmost networks you can now prevent them from automatically connecting first. Just enter the network information for the networks you don’t want to auto-connect and let “WiFi Priority“ do the rest. Afterwards your preferred available network will always connect first and you will still be able to use the other networks by just tapping on them in your network list. Review
Terrible App. Asking for network to be disabled yet it is advertised as for automatically joining to the strongest wi-fi. Total rubbish. One star is even a high rating.
Terrible app❗️😢😢😢😢😢
Doesn’t work as it should be. Bad bad bad❗️😢
Not at all. Nope.
Does not and never will switch automatically between my wireless networks on my property. Wasted money.
Misleading title but....
Update The developer got back to me right away and helped clarify a few things. I’ll give this 4 stars because it does do what its programmed to do however the title is misleading so I’m docking a star. Here is the devs response: Hi thanks for your message and for using WiFi Priority! It is important to understand how the app works. You need to fill in all the information for the networks that you DO NOT want to automatically connect to. This will prevent your device from automatically connecting to them and thus prioritize the other network, that you actually want to connect to. Unfortunately, Apple currently does not allow a priorization of a network based on the signal strength. I will update the app as soon as Apple changes this policy. You can always re-connect to the de-prioritized networks manually by just selecting it from the list of known networks without having to type in passwords or any other information again. In case that there are many networks you do not want to be connected to automatically, you will need to create a profile for each of those networks. When doing this, please make sure that you enter everything (for example SSID and password) correctly. This also means that all information is case sensitive. Taken together, you disable the auto-connect feature of one or more networks to prioritize the one that you want to get connected to automatically when you enter its range. You don’t need to worry about the message that the profile is not signed. This appears just because it is not possible to sign a profile directly on the device. This has, however, no negative impact on the functionality of the app or the created profile. If you have further questions, please let me know! Best regards Florian —-old review —- All this app does is create a network profile that disables auto join. I can do that for free in the wireless properties. It does not prioritize anything nor will it automatically connect to the strongest wifi. Save your money - I should have listened to the reviews.
Misleading App Name
App should be classified, and renamed, as a WIFI blocker. It doesn't prioritize anything. And I fully understand how to use the app; contrary to the rebuttals I've seen in response to other negative reviews. Thankfully, I only wasted 99-cents. I have removed the app.
Does not prioritize
All this does is make you “Forget” a WiFi connection. I bought it to list prioritize connections, it doesn’t do anything like that. Why even call it WiFi Priority, just call it The app that doesn’t do anything.
Terrible... horrible
Didn't allow you to prioritize WiFi network add it's name or description suggests. Should be negative five stars
