The application uses Heuristic detection and Artificial Intelligence to automatically detect the unknown spam sms. It comes with its own database of around 5000 spam SMS messages which is utilized by the Heuristic detection engine to identify SPAM with high detection rates.The blocked SMS are placed inside “Unknown & Junk” section of the “Messages” application. Blocked Words List : The application also comes with a Blocked list containing 600 known SPAM keywords. The application also scans the SMS against these known SPAM keywords to detect a SPAM SMS. This list could be further customized to add new keywords or modify existing ones. Abuse Detection : The application is also designed to protect you from the SMS that contains abusive or offensive words. If any such SMS is received, these will automatically be blacklisted and all alerts will be silenced for them. Blocked Numbers list : If you are getting continuous message from any particular person or service , please add them to the Blocked numbers list. Any SMS from such numbers will automatically be blacklisted by the application. Allowed Words list : This list allows you to whitelist certain SMS types based on keywords such as OTP (One time passwords). To ignore sms containing certain words like OTP, please add those words to this list. Block all Unknown SMS : When this option is turned on, the application will block SMS from any number that is not in your contacts. Please note that the application still does not need access to your contacts. The iOS APIs let the application know automatically if the received SMS is an unknown SMS. Your private data is always safe. This is an optional feature and it could be turned on if required. Note : a) Starting iOS 14, if a sender is a registered iMessage user and not in your contacts, the iOS will consider this as a legitimate sms and will send it to “Unknown Senders” section and might will show you notification for them. In case you face such situation, please press on “Report Junk” link below such SMS. b) SMS Spam Stopper is an extension. In order to enable this extension, please visit Settings - Messages - Unknown & Spam. On this page, please enable "Filter Unknown Senders" and "SMS Spam Stopper". c) The default SPAM keywords are saved in the english language in the application. For other languages, required keywords could be added manually to the blocked words list of the application. d) The SMS from any person whose number is saved in the phone's contacts will never be treated as spam.

Hi just purchased the soft for filter spam sms from phone not listed on my contact. I add the number to block list and isn’t stopped the sms from unwanted caller. Have ios 16.3 Will ask refund I set enable and all what needs, know how to work with filters. I did many tests before writing the review Maybe its not supported in ios 16.3

I’m blown away by how well this app works. After installing it, I spent a few minutes adding words to the blocked list based upon words in the spam texts I was receiving most often (usually political). Since downloading the app several months ago, I’ve only received 2 spam texts! The ability to customize and backup the spam filter is a total game changer. Thank you for this app!

I was so stinking frustrated by the constant spam. It was making me furious and there was no way to stop it. I installed this app and they disappeared. Frankly it worked so well that I didn’t know for sure it was doing anything, I thought maybe there had been some other solution that finally got me off the irritating political spam list. I just looked today at the new iOS junk folder feature. This app had taken care of 70 spam texts in the last couple weeks. Amazing. SO worth it.

I sometimes get 8-10 spam texts a day. This app has allowed me to go an entire 24 hours without even one spam text bothering me. Nothing else I’ve tried- not Malwarebytes, not Robokiller- has been able to deliver on their promise to eliminate spam. This does! I just took a peek in the junk folder and there they all are- trying to get me to click on sketchy links, selling nonsense, begging for my vote. Whereas once these unwanted messages harassed me day and night, now they silently self-segregate into a junk folder, not bothering me, thanks to this perfect app. Well worth the tiny price. The people complaining about the app not working properly didn’t follow the simple setup instructions. You just give the app permission to filter text from unknown numbers, that’s it. When you install the app and click to open, it shows you two minute-long tutorial videos for how to quickly and easily optimize your settings. Seamless. Thanks so much to the developer!

I had been receiving annoying text messages from all types of illicit places and it was driving me crazy. It’s one thing to receive those type of messages when you frequent certain sites but when you don’t it’s down right infuriating. After going to my carrier(Verizon) and the Apple store with NO HELPFUL SOLUTION I found this app from a YouTube video. They tell you up front that it’s not free but the fee is very affordable and ONE TIME ONLY not a “rip off” subscription. Once you go in and add some target words NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING gets through. This is the BEST SPAM STOPPER EVER..!!! Thank you so much to the team that developed this app. I waited a couple of months to give a review bc I wanted it to be fair and honest.

When you enable this product in message filtering, a pop up message on your phone warns you that the developer of the app will receive the “text, attachments, and sender information in SMS and MMS messages from senders not in your Contacts. Messages may include personal or sensitive information like bank verification codes.” That was not disclosed prior to purchase. I don’t want anything forwarded to the developer from my phone period. $2.99 down the drain. App deleted.
