Apple Maps Compatible?
Was wondering does it work on apple and google maps or the device is able to just connect to those apple and android products?
Glitch with mode switch, FIXED
I bought the XGPS150 to link with my iPad Pro 10.5. It worked great for a few years, then would not link to its own APP. IN FRUSTRATION, I downloaded the Owner’s Manual. While reading I came across the Mode Switch part, about choosing between Android and iOS. Looking at mine, the switch was set for iOS. But, I moved it to Android position and back to iOS position. EUREKA! It connects to the APP again. Okay, I love it again.
Dreadful
The app barely functions. Expect to go up to 1/2 hour to pair with the receiver. B/T looks forever and most of the time never finds the unit.
Does not work
Upgraded the firmware to 4.2.4 and nothing works anymore. Piece of garbage.
Disappointing
Works with my iPad pro but not iPhone 12.
Works great
I am recommending the Dual Electronics 150 or 160 to a friend since I have both. Purchased the 150 probably 7 years ago and it works great with the app for off-roading. Decided to get the 160 model 2 years ago so I could connect to both my iPad and iPhone via Bluetooth at the same time. I use this strictly with off-roading apps like Gaia here in the southwest and have been very happy with it.
Read the directions for setting up the XGPS150A
I connected to my iPad with no problem but the app didn’t recognize the device. You must read the directions and toggle the switch by the charge port…once I did that viola, the app and GPS worked fine. Will update after more use but so far it connects to multiple satellites and seems to do the trick.
