"QR Station" allows you to create, print, and read a QR code by using iOS's App Extension. You can also print the QR code directly from the app. In addition, as the app can read the QR code, it is very handy to integrate with other apps. 1. Not only scan but create a QR code! “QR Station” creates a QR code by using iOS8's App Extension. All the app data that is compatible with the action function can create a QR code. For example: • Safari URL • iTunes info • App Store App info • Contacts info • Text • Map info • Evernote notes Other data can also be turned into a QR code. If you are using an iOS older than iOS8, you can manually create a QR code. 2. Only open Safari? Not enough! Once reading a QR code, it automatically opens the linked apps. • When reading a QR code containing a phone number and FaceTime number, it makes a call • QR code with app info opens App Store • Song info opens iTunes Store • When scanned, a QR code contains an email address opens the Mail app and copies and pastes the address Linked Apps • Safari • Phone • FaceTime • Mail app • SMS app • Map • App Store • iTunes • Evernote • Save contacts • Copy text 3. Enhanced integration to other apps! By using iOS8's Action Extension, transfer the scanned QR code to other apps in order to use the data. Even a long sentence can be copied as text so that it's easy to post on Twitter and Facebook. • Message • Mail • Twitter • Facebook • Evernote ... and more 4. Print a QR code! • AirPrint compatible printers * For other printers, please make sure that you can print with Prime Print Lite before purchasing. • Save to Camera Roll You can specify the number of QR codes (either 1, 25, 36, 49, or 64) to print on A4 paper. This feature is useful when you want to duplicate and print the same QR code.
Really helpful, but some fixes needed
This app has been a really helpful extension for me. I really like how it keeps the history (I think this makes the app superior to a number of other similar apps). The app works well overall, but I would like to request a few fixes to make the app even better. Please fix: 1-Sometimes a keyboard does not appear when you press on the text field (e.g. the 'Title' field) so there is no way to add a title (it is usually resolved if you go back to it later, but this makes more work), 2-Please add folders to the history so items can be moved around and sorted, 3-Please allow user to specify a default setting (personally I like Title+URL), 4-Please have option to open automatically showing the history instead of defaulting to the camera, 5-Please show more text (if possible) for title and URL. Anything additional in terms of number of characters displayed would help. If these fixes were made, I would probably give 5 stars. Thanks for helpful app/extension!
