Keep coming back to this Browser.
By far the most valuable thing about this app is being able to customize your interface while keeping it simple. There are many thing right with this app. Greg is one of them, he seems passionate about Quiche. What struck me the most was his humility. Great developer, great browser, great experience. High recommend!
An Impressive Browser with Room for Improvement
Quiche has the basics down to a T (you’d be surprised how many browsers fail at this) and its UI customization is unparalleled. It’s so good at what it does that it’s become my primary browser, over the likes of Safari, Vivaldi, Orion, and Arc. Unfortunately, it’s still missing some things that would make it my only browser. No downloads support forces me to occasionally switch back to Safari, and the UI could benefit from some reachability tweaks, like bottom tabs, address bar swipe gestures for changing tabs, and search suggestions starting from the bottom. Another minor annoyance is that lack of the search suggestions from favorites, history, and open tabs, which is helpful when trying to quickly revisit a website. Truthfully, Quiche in its current state is around a 4.5/5 for me, but considering the app is still in its early stages and the developer’s exceptional responsiveness to feedback (6/5 in my book), I have no doubts that at least some of these nitpicks will be solved down the road, and I’m looking forward to see how the app evolves.
Amazing
Love the simplicity and customization. Best browser I have found so far. Just need a bookmark import 😊
Best Indie Browser
I really enjoy the customization and design feel and how fast and smooth it is. I can tell the developer put his heart into it and overall just cares about user performance and happiness , Id recommend this browser to anyone
Ad block
The ad block could still be better cause I get pop ups from time to time
Great alternative to existing browsers
I’ve found this browser while I was searching for an alternative to Safari on Reddit. The greatest strengths of this browser are its minimalism and customizability. As soon as I opened the browser for the first time, I really liked the minimalistic design of the browser. It doesn’t feel “gimmicky,” unlike most other browsers I have used. I like Safari for that reason as well, but unfortunately, it lacks the customizability that this browser has. In terms of customizability, the browser allows you to customize which functions to include on the taskbar and there’s a lot of them to choose from. You can even choose different types of toolbars. Not only that, there’s a lot more other things you can customize, such as whether you want to display the keyboard automatically when you open a new tab. When it comes to speed, in my personal experience, it feels fast. I compared against Safari and Brave, and to me Quiche browser felt just as fast as Safari and a bit faster than Brave. Although this browser is still in its early stage, it’s already very useable and I find myself using it more than other browsers. Of course there are things that it could improve upon, but the developer is very responsive and cares about user feedback, which I appreciate a lot. P.S. I think it’d be great to be able to adjust the size of the address bar as well.
Customizable browser
This browser can be setup however you want it and is quick. The one thing I like to see is a onetime lifetime purchase for those of us that don’t like subscriptions. I hope you will consider this. Great job, looking forward to what’s to come.
