Awful
I went looking for something to replace Apple's "Books." (Tired of the program telling me that there's no room to "install" a book that I've been reading and is already installed when I have gigs free...) THIS is not it. The first thing you notice is he splash screen, which lasts a bit, is in landscape. In fact, the program seems incapable of portrait mode. For an ebook reader that's a lose right there. But, there's more. The page where you expect to see books us covered with icons representing other apps. There is a feature to remove these unrelated and unwanted clutter... for $5! So you figure out how to get to the book area. No small feat with the clutter of icons for ads, ratings begging, etc. but there're no Project Gutenberg books here, instead there's an example ePub. You try to open it, but the distracting ad on the bottom/side of the screen us messing up the display which, as I said, doesn't rotate. I'll keep looking for a decent ebook reader since this isn't it. Pay $5? The "demo" mode doesn't even work. Maybe instead of trying to milk me monthly, Apple should add 24 trials to paid software. Not that it would save this.
Crashes
So far it has crashed every time I have tried to open one of the download sites.
Annoying
It was ok at first. Then everytime I would open it, some box would pop up asking me to buy the full version. The box will stay there for 15 seconds (it shows a countdown) and I cannot interact with the app until the box goes away. Even if I closed the app before the countdown was over, it would start again the next time I opened the app. This is very inconvenient because I switch between this app and another app a lot. I will be deleting this app.
