Not great
App is overly tied to the limitations of same WiFi network for realtime use. Doesn't matter the 2.4g and 5g are the same ip space, I’m forced to connect to the 2.4g in order to see the realtime. Changing WiFi networks works on every 10th try, app disconnects and reconnects on random. Hot garbage at best, but I’m excited to see my realtime use when it’s up long enough to see. Tips to the dev, store relevant device name/ip info in the app for faster reconnect and get rid of the same WiFi network nonsense we learned how to fix in 2014.
Just crashes
Doesn’t work yet. Deleted and reinstalled numerous times but haven’t been able to get past the “connecting” screen without the whole thing crashing. Hoping it will be functional soon.

Great application for energy insights!
It took some time to setup but once it’s connected and working it’s a great way to see and triage what appliances are using the most electricity and when. Once downloaded you will need to login with your Xcel energy digital ID. I will say my meter is located on the opposite side of my WiFi router in my house - so I was fearing connectivity issues and that seemed to be the case. I adjusted my router to get a stronger signal and tried to login - first attempt failed, second failed, third, forth so then I moved closer to the router but not too far from the meter outside. It finally connected after a couple of tries. Once connected it worked great! You have to have your WiFi Network name handy and (for me anyway) you have to have the name and case exactly as it shows up meaning uppercase and lowercase exact of your network name - if this is off it will not connect. Similarly password has to be exact. It took me a few tries to confirm - making password visible was helpful. We were consuming a lot of electricity or so it seemed our consumption felt higher and wanted to figure out the cause. This application did exactly that we were able to triage the issue. Couple of devices and some changes on turning things off made a significant difference. Some of the loading times are slow to change between days etc. let the application collect its data and click the receive 8 hours prior and that helps. You can turn on for example a microwave or high consumption appliance and see it spike in realtime. Pretty cool! Way to go Xcel!
