This MobileID Application is issued by the NIMC on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and serves as a valid means of Identification anywhere a Nigerian (or legal resident) is required to present an ID Token. It MUST however, always be verified for the transaction to be complete. The NIMC is also improving the design of the National Identification Number (NIN) Slip, which may also be verified using this App. The NIMC will collaborate with sister agencies such as the FIRS, FRSC, JAMB, NAFDAC, NHIS and any other Federal or State Government that wishes to provide eServices to citizens via a secure platform. Using this platform, the MWS Mobile Ecosystem means that the Government can instantly reach out to tens of millions of citizens anywhere in the world. If you have been issued a National Identification Number (NIN) by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), you are welcome to download this application to use as a complement to, or in place of the physical National Identity Card. This app may serve as a replacement for a physical Polycarbonate Card, since it also a State-of-the-Art General-Multipurpose resource. We are here to serve you and welcome your feedback. This app is trash!! Why OTP validation is delaying more than the given time????

A lot has been promised but it has been glitch after glitch and in many cases stone walled especially for those of us abroad. We cannot verify our NIN because the OTP is not set up to accommodate foreign numbers. Now this update came today promising verification via WhatsApp and yet nothing worked. Also, I hope the NIMC are aware that WhatsApp is a foreign owned private business. They claimed to be end-to-end encrypted but are they? Their primary loyalty is to their home country and government. Please do the needful and let those in the diaspora be able to verify their NIN on the app like those at home. We paid to register and some of us do have significant business interests back home that require us to be verified.

The app has refused to generate any code which is restricting me access to log in. Funny how I also registered my 9mobile network just for it to tell me it has been banned because I didn’t link it which I very much did so back then. If my number has been given out to a total stranger I won’t be happy because that number is more than 14 years old now

Why is it so hard to get the user ID and opt code? I’ve been trying many times to get it but still haven't received it. I've been trying to login to my NIN and change something else, like replacing my number with a new one. Also, I want to get my NIN plastic card as well. Please help me look into this matter.

Have you had trouble getting your OTP on your phone? We now offer the option to receive your OTP on your registered WhatsApp number. With the Selective ID feature, your identity is now even more secure. You can choose which information to share when someone verifies your identity in the app. Other bug fixes.
