Calculate times of sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset and more for your location at any given date. The following data is calculated: - Sunrise - Solar noon - Sunset - Day length - Equation of time - Declination - Civil twilight (Dawn/Dusk) - Nautical twilight (Dawn/Dusk) - Astronomical twilight (Dawn/Dusk) - Azimuth at sunrise and sunset - Altitude during solar noon - Sun track - Date and time of Seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) - Solstice and Equinox dates - Date and time of next solar eclipse - Moonrise - Moon transit - Moonset - Moon phase - Distance - Declination - Date and time of next new moon - Date and time of next full moon - Azimuth at moonrise and moonset - Altitude during moon transit - Moon track - Date and time of next lunar eclipse Some information for the current day can also be viewed in the notification center. To specify the location of interest either get the position from the built-in GPS or Wifi receiver or select a city from a database with over 400,000 cities in over 200 countries.
Worked great for years…
… but recently it started to ramdomly change the time zone for some saved locations. It can be corrected, but when closing and then opening again the application, the time zones are incorrect again, resulting in sunrises predicted for late morning or early afternoon. Pretty annoying.
This is quite good!
I bought this because I do a lot of drone photography and I want to see where the sun will be at a specific location, at a specific hour, any day of the year. This does all that, and will store locations so I can easily go back and look as the season changes. There are a few other apps in the store that are iOS ones that will run on my M1 Mac... but... I tried all of those and they don't actually work on Mac. Many thanks to this developer for making this app at a good price! I hope others support this app. It's now part of my work flow. Thank you!
- Added time of the solar midnight - Added time of the lower culmination of the moon - Added a new home screen widget that shows rise and set times for sun and moon
