KozBon is a utility application built to help you with Bonjour and Bluetooth. KozBon not only discovers the most common Bonjour network services on your network, but it allows you to browse, create, and publish your own services for testing. KozBon also allows you to discover Bluetooth peripherals around you and view what services and characteristics each peripheral has. You have the ability to: - Browse your network for published Bonjour services - Are you looking for a service not already in the built in library? You have the ability to specify and create your own service types. - Using a different application or utility that is looking for a specific service that you need to simulate? You have the ability to publish your own network service types. - Discover nearby Bluetooth devices. - See the data values in hex as well as the properties of the services and characteristics of discovered bluetooth device. Updated review. So much value and utility. Works like a charm.
Updating my review. App currently works now. It seems it might have just been a bug on iOS but it works most of the times. I have used it and there are only two other apps that comes close to this. What sets th is apart is the ability to host your own session. I have used it to capture port information across VLANs when I could not run a tcpdump and other useful tools. This is an excellent app and has so many uses for a mobile app. It’s invaluable for those that mess with firewalls and other network sessions they need to do. Also the information it gives on Airplay 2 services with the key listings if you understand them is just too invaluable and productive.
Potential to be great. Need update to current iOS.
Looking at the app, it has great potential to be the best at what it offers. Currently it does not detect anything for me but when I hit the refresh button, I can see for a split second that it populates the list and then goes blank. This is probably a bug that needs to be fixed and app updated for the current iOS version. If it is updated I will update my review on how it works after testing it. Right now it publishes nothing a blank screen; but again the potential I can see here is that it will be better than anything offered in the store for what it does. I am currently troubleshooting various VLAN networks to see the right ports and range of ports things are broadcasting on. I believe this app will help greatly with what it supposedly offers.
awesome app
been using it for a couple months to troubleshoot my macbook thanks for this awesome utility !!
Definitely check out this app
This is app is very clean and to the point and just very useful. I can’t believe it only has a few reviews, because it’s the best of its kind. People need to start downloading this app! To the guy who made it, keep the apps coming please!
Hidden gem, better than all other bonjour apps
I just found this app and it is excellent. So this has been here the whole time?! I am sorry that it has not gained traction (yet) because it is an excellent app. I have recently downloaded 5+ other Bonjour scanner-type apps that have more downloads but this one is far superior in that 1: the design is refreshingly simple yet crisp and modern 2:Your application has Bluetooth built in as well. I haven’t played with the Bluetooth part yet and I also haven’t tried to copy info from the Bonjour pages, but I had to immediately make a review because people are missing out! To the dev: I wonder if people think it is a proprietary app for a piece of hardware. Anyways thanks for the free app!
