When you run it your device iPhone or iPad become IP Camera by RTSP protocol. You can watch video from IP4K wirelessly in your local WIFI network via Google Chrome on any other device. Just type in chrome browser address from IP Cam(left upper corner) like rtsp://192.168.0.101 for example. Or just download VLC Player (We recommended using VLC Player, because low latency and many features) on any computer or mobile device connected to your local network. Then open VLC Player -> Open Network... -> Type your iPhone IP which showed in IP4K app (in upper left corner) like rtsp://192.168.0.101 (for example) -> Press "open" and watch. Also you can use Apple TV for watching IP Cam stream. WARNING! This app can drain your battery quickly. Use power adapter or reduce resolution and FPS (SD with 20 frames per second is good for long working time on single charge). With VLC player you also can record streams from many IP Cam's at same time!
Not that great compared to Camy
Lacks features like auto recording and has a big delay and stutters, can’t change quality or FPS without having to reconnect, can’t connect and view multiple devices at the same time i wish it was more integrated everything within the app not having to download VLC to watch just one cam, lots of wasted potential. having that said the app should be free…
Works as it should
Good app. Use it for old iPhone
Very limited
Only works with VLC. Not with other security cam systems
N2UBN
Works great no problems using VLC as recommended
Fereydoun
Good application
Works just as advertised
This IP camera app is a breeze to set up and use. I start the app and it tells me the IP address of the camera (phone), the URL. I simply enter that into any other device or computer's VideoLan (VLC) streaming address, and instantly the moving image appears. It's quick and easy. The app is very fast and has adjustable resolution to accommodate multiple data rates. I love this app, and I highly recommend it.
Cool but...
Might be nice in a pinch but to turn an iPad into an IP camera kind of defeats the purpose of the iPad... of course this IMHO
