Description
Turn the device into IP Camera
"IP Camera" can turn your device into a wireless IP Camera via built-in RTSP and HTTP Server for security monitoring WITH Bi-directional audio support, you can use your browser to view, of course, include "IP Camera" and "IP Camera for iOS", it can work with the 'IP Camera for iOS' via AirDrop. It supports auto video recording which based on Motion Detection and the video record can be uploaded to FTP server automatically and notify you via Email!

"IP Camera" can push the video and audio to RTMP/SRT live media server (e.g. Push to YouTube, Facebook), and use for network broadcast. It also supports the rtmps security protocol and RTSP protocol. You can turn it on from IP Camera Server.

It supports UPnP port forwarding. If you can access your gateway via WAN, and the UPnP on your gateway is opened, you can also use WAN Url from WAN to visit IP Camera Server. It also supports user name and password authentication, default username and password are admin, you can modify from the Preferences.

"IP Camera" provides full IPv6 support!

"IP Camera" is also a ONVIF and MJPEG viewer WITH video recording support! It also supports RTSP and SRT, RTMP protocols to playback!

Finally, you can add another device's IP Camera Server quickly with build-in QR Code!

Using HEVC for video recording requires macOS 10.13 or above, and the device must supports HEVC codec.

Not able to connect - not able to contact the programmer

I’m looking for a nifty program to view my cameras on a Mac. Found this thing on the AppStore and purchased it. It doesn’t even give me the ability to add a camera, the + (plus) sign is greyed out. It’s like a paperweight, does nothing for me! I want a refund!!

Great things in Small Packages (supports multiple 📸 feeds!)

This is literally the single most succesful out of the box experience I have had with IP cameraware. It worked with the IP Camera software easily but that was not really a big test because they wrote both. On the same token it is suprising what a bad experience can be had with other software that has a companion iOS app to turn your old iPod, old iPhone or old iPad into a security camera. This one FINALLY does it right. Now for the good stuff… I have an Xiaomi Yi Cam (Ant Cam) that was ordered as the US edition but turned out to be “only usable in Mainland China”. After working on flashing all sorts of versions into it, getting it to speak English instead of Chinese (camera talks you through the setup), I have it working with features like standard RTSP. Just bought a $19.95 piece of software and it cant talk to this camera. VLC does talk to it fine as does QuickTime Player. Grabbing the URL that is assembled from the other software, using the RTSP url in “IP Camera” and BAM, worked perfectly the first time. Now, the real test… that “other” piece of software has a nice iOS app that’s free (yea, for $20 for the Mac version, the iOS version should be free..). I fired that app up, got the URL from it (nice of them) and used it in “IP Camera”. BAM! It works! And the video audio lag on the foreign iOS app to the Mac IP Camera app (0.33s) is better than the IP Camera iOS app (0.75s). Regardless of the lag differnce, the ablity to turn on the remote device’s LED using both IP Camera on Mac and on iPod, as well as flipping the camera to use front or back remotely is nice and in all reality, this author deserves the support. There is only one thing that could improve the out-of-the-box experience… use Bonjour. If IP Camera on the iOS device registered its service with Bonjour, the IP Camera software on the Mac could see it and automaticaly offer the camera as an end point to the Mac. That would be better than either the AirDrop or the QR Code setup. (Psst, that “other software” did it, nice). It would also be nice to have a way to push to iCloud storage or Box storage. This can be done manually by using an alias in place of IP Camera’s “Recordings” folder but still… An exceptionally clean user interface, flawless execution, very easy setup, multiple simultanious camera operation, an insanely great price, press the “buy” button because its the best $0.99 you will ever spend on IP camera software for Mac.

not bad

It could use a little more work around making streams easier to setup/troubleshoot but once you try enough URLs for your camera then you’ll eventually get it. For my amcrest IP2M-841 camera, both of these URLs worked for me: rtsp://username:[email protected]:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 http://10.0.0.10:80/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?channel=1&subtype=0 Of course, replace the username, password and IP address with your own.

Video stops working after connected few seconds

This client was not able to provide continuous video after connecting its andoird version. The video stops after few seconds. Could we have a fix for this? I will change my review after that. Version 2.4 still does not fix it.
