With the iLOQ S50 app your smartphone becomes a key. By downloading the S50 app you can use your NFC-enabled phone to open iLOQ S50 locks and readers to which your locking system administrator has given you access rights. Opening locks is simple and convenient: Just place your phone’s NFC area close to the lock’s reader while the application is open and tap the lock icon on the screen. The reader harvests energy from the phone's NFC field and verifies your access rights for opening the lock. To use the S50 app as a key your phone number needs to be registered to a locking system by the administrator, after this you’ll receive a key registration message via SMS or email. Your access rights can also be updated at any time by the administrator, contact them for more info. The S50 app can also be used to update access rights to iLOQ K5 keys and K55S.2 Key Fobs.
This lock is horrible
My apartment complex changed our key locks to these and they are the worst thing about my apartment. It takes me at least three tries to unlock my door every time I come home. It always says “communication with the lock suspended”. If I was being chased by a dangerous person I would be screwed and this lock would be to blame. I have never been more unhappy with a product in my entire life.
Not good
When you find the sweet spot it works 80% of the time, but I’m always running into connectivity issues or some problem. I would certainly not recommend using this app if you can avoid it. A lock should work 100% of time
Works great!
Works great, finding the “sweet spot” NFC on iPhone/Android devices is important. I open my locks every time with no issue.
never use this
it barely works, and when it does it takes forever to scan
HORRIBLE
I live in an Appt of 4 people and this app has only worked on 1/2 of our phones to open the door and 1/4 of our phones to close and LOCK the door to our house. Huge safety risk and overall so inconvenient. Do NOT use.
Doesn’t work
Just doesn’t work.
Horrible…
I would NEVER put this in my own home. The whole exchange between the lock and phone may seem ideal, but it comes with many caveats. It works 40% of the time and makes me feel unsafe as I can’t enter my home quickly. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
