The blocking is done by Safari itself with instructions from Hush, so the app has no access to your browser habits nor does it want to. SIMPLE YET POWERFUL Using Hush is as easy as installing it and enabling it in Settings -> Safari -> Content Blockers. No settings, no maintenance – just thousands of rules doing the hard work for you in the background. It works like magic – you will not notice Hush until you disable it. MODERN, TINY AND FAST The app is primarily a host of rules that integrates with Safari in a native lightweight way, making the blocking efficient, fast and easy on your disk space. FREE AND OPEN Hush is both free of charge and Open Source with a permissive MIT license. No in-app purchases, no nonsense. AVAILABLE ON ALL DEVICES Hush is available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Doesn’t work any more
I downloaded this app and set it up and it worked fine for a few days. But now it has stopped working. I’ve deleted it, downloaded it again and checked that it’s turned on in settings, but i still get all the consent pop-ups it’s supposed to block. Doesn’t seem to be any kind of comprehensible support, either. Don’t waste your time with this app.
this gets rid of annoying Google sign-in popups
Thank you HUSH!
Doesn’t work most of the time
Often doesn’t work. I feel it’s are only updated when the app is updated, not dynamically via url like so many others. I’ve used this for about two months now and the sites that I’ve reported as slipping through the cracks (a bunch) have yet to be blocked. And in those cases, this app actually prevents me from proceeding past the consent pop up. As for the description, it’s not really clear what this app is doing. there’s no documentation or much of any explanation of what’s going on behind-the-scenes. The only real source of anything is a GitHub link. and once you navigate around and find the developers biographical page or about me section, one of the first things I noticed was that he says he doesn’t have time to invest in his projects. So…. This isn’t a money-making tool. I get that. It would be nice to know upfront more about the app I’m downloading, how it works, how often it is or isn’t updated, etc. After looking around on the repository, I see that it is working very much the same way as Easylist and incorporates the fanboy list. It just doesn’t look like it updates these filters dynamically, only when they are integrated directly into the app update, which it looks like it was more than two months ago.
