EV ChAmp calculates the lowest charge amperage setting needed to replenish your electric vehicle's battery by a given time. The calculations are optimized for the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X. A typical scenario is at home where you would charge your electric vehicle (EV) overnight when electricity costs may be lower and such that by the time you need to leave for work, your battery has a full charge. The main benefits of using the lowest possible amperage are prolonged battery life and lower electricity usage.

AWESOME way to maximize Tesla battery life
This app is AWESOME !!! Enables me to EASILY calculate the lowest charge rate for my electrical utility's cheapest KWh rate (9PM to 12:00 noon). This not only will extend the life of my Tesla P85D batteries AND my Tesla HPWC but also keeps my garage cooler during charging. I would have given it 5 stars if these 2 issues were fixed: 1. Calculator Start & End miles > 99 miles displays as "1X...lies" and End Time > 9:XX displays as "10:...AM" since iOS upgrade on my iPhone 6 Plus making setting these input values a guess at best. 2. Setting the correct Calculator input values with the slider is VERY difficult... And no way to simply enter these numerically. 3. Login to My Tesla account doesn't work. "Login failed. Verify email and password." 4. No way to contact the developer to send bug reports and enhancement requests via the app or online... Which is why I posted them here. None of these make EV ChAmp unusable but detract from its enjoyment. Once these get fixed I'll gladly pay for the In-App upgrade to have the ads removed.
Always connected
Works great for all the benefits described. I have my Tesla Model S set to "Always connected" so that the communication between the app and the car is quick. With the setting off, it can take a while for the car to wake up and establish communications. So if you are experiencing this, I would recommend on your Tesla Model S to go to Controls > Displays > Power Management and check the box "Always connected".
Calculator works but ...
the connection to my Tesla does not after inputting the correct codes 5 times.
In Settings, added option for selecting the input voltage used for calculations.
