THIS APP CANNOT REPAIR AN OLED SCREEN! OLED displays have the highest contrast of any display panel. Blacks are pure black because OLED, which stands for Organic Light-Emitting Diodes, can switch off individual pixels. iPhones with OLED screens should be handled with a bit of care to avoid image persistence or screen burn-in, if you treat your new iPhone with attention you will not suffer from this and your device will have a better resale value, see vendor support article HT208191. Use this app to visually check your OLED screen if you have signs of "Image Persistence" or "Burn-In". Read about the best way to take care of it. When you want to buy/sell a (second-hand) iPhone with an OLED display, you can use this app to visually check for damage to the screen. This App does not claim to fix or repair an OLED screen which has Image Persistence, or burn-in. You can also enjoy two demo videos to check out how good looking Dolby Vision and HDR 10 are, on your iPhone OLED display. Recently we have added 4 Dolby Atmos tests for the Spacial Audio on the Air Pods Pro.
Waste
I just threw $1 USD away.
Misleading title
Its only a diagnostic. Congrats, you got my $1
Misleading name. Does not fix screen burn-in.
It’s partly my fault for not reading to the end of the app description, but I thought this app would help fix my screen burn-in. It only diagnoses it, which I didn’t need because I already know I have this problem. I downloaded this app because it was recommended in a Digital Trends article, and both the article and the use of “doctor” in the app name implied to me that it would fix or attempt to fix screen burn-in. The fact that it doesn’t is hidden in the app description past where you have to click “more” to see it. I’m annoyed I paid for an app I don’t need. I would recommend to the app developers to make the exact purpose of the app clear at the top of the app description.
Misleading. DOES NOT help get rid of burn in
This is for screen testing not getting rid of burn in. Don’t waste your money.
Didn't work.
So I buy this app and it has a test to check if my screen is Oled, and it's not. So I paid for the app for no reason. Rip off.
Works like a charm
No complaints
Not worth your time or money!
Keep your dollar. Apparently they didn’t like my review. Dear Brian D, Robin Bollen responded to your review of Doctor OLED X Robin Bollen "What did you expect to get then, did you read the description before the purchase? If you can explain why it would at least give value for new users. This app is ad free also."
