Coordinate Master is one of the most powerful map coordinate converters available. It uses the PROJ4 library and a lookup file containing projection and datum parameters to allow conversion between more than 1700 coordinate systems from around the world. Lat/lon, UTM, US coordinate systems (including US State Plane), Australian coordinate systems (including GDA2020), UK coordinate systems (including British National Grid) and many, many others are supported. Custom coordinate systems can be added and affine parameters are supported for adding local grid systems. The app can use manually entered coordinates, your current GPS location, or get the lat/lon coordinates from a photo.
Great App
For what this app is & does is a solid value for 1.99. I’m a professional land surveyor working as part of a large organization. This app lets me empower people who know next to nothing about surveying but can reliably follow instructions on converting their waypoints for “x” into state plane coordinates or to lat/long as needed. With the GPS enabled, they can hover over something for a few seconds to get a decent “fix” & then copy that data to their clipboard to place in another app or wherever they want to store it. For anyone who feels the app doesn’t perfectly translate between datums, please understand that the world isn't a perfect geometric figure & the mathematical models do their best to approximate but errors will occur relative to source data & datum as well as the output. That shouldn’t reflect negatively against the app but it’s merely how the process of translation & rotation of data between datums works. However, tapping on a field to enter coordinates causes the screen to scroll up beyond what the user can see. So you can’t copy/paste values for easy conversion. This is a pain. 11/04/2020: New update did indeed fix screen issue I was experiencing. Thank you.
