Use the camera to capture RGB values in real-time and convert them to the closest color name from a dictionary of nearly 900 colors. Also available: RYB, HSL and CMYK values, HTML color code, closest HTML color name, and simple color name. Touch a color square to view the information for that sample at any time. "Auto" uses the camera's auto focus and auto contrast adjustment feature. "Lock" fixes or locks the current contrast setting. And "Target" allows you to touch any area of the screen to select that spot as the source for the color sample (in cases where moving the device would disrupt the focus/contrast, or where the device is mounted in a fixed position). Manage named color sample sets on the Edit screen. In ColorAssist Lite, in-app purchase options allows you to upgrade the app to email color samples with color chips, with color chips and a selected photo, or as text only. A new in-app purchase option also allows you to upgrade the app to manage multiple sample sets. On the Options screen, select which color conversions to display, and set the spacial and temporal apertures from 1x1 to 50x50 pixels, and 1 to 30 frames. Touch the "Target" selector then touch the screen to move the sample location without moving the device. App Store screen shots simulated Photo copyright E. Best update yet!
Thanks! The update that started saving all my colors when I quit the app was nice. But now having multiple sets of color samples with names is exactly what I needed.
horrible service
I tested on my vagina which is BLACK and it said blue
Okay
Fine as far as it goes, but it only picks up colors from the camera. If it can’t pick colors from existing images, it’s not all that useful to me.
Well designed and very intuitive
Beautiful simple and effective app 👌🏼
Helpful app
I'm not sure why nobody has left a review yet. I tried it and found it very helpful. I use it to find the right colors when I'm painting.
Meh
The color readout isn't accurate. It's close, but the RGB/CMYK value it shows is slightly darker when I test the color in Photoshop than the color it shows on my phone screen.
Exactly what I was looking for!
I reproduce artwork and was looking for an app that I could use in conjunction with a controlled light source to define various colors. Color Assist has all of the features needed for the task. One of the best features is the exposure/white balance/focus lock button. Without this feature, it wouldn't work for my needs. Thanks for a GREAT product!
