ChromaX is a tiny app that helps to control Chroma light effects natively on your Mac. Simply plug in your supported mouse and/or keyboard, and we will help you to set brightness or show the fancy wave light effects.
GETS THE JOB DONE
I just bought a 'Razer Blackwidow V3 Tenkeyless' for my Macbook Pro M1 2020 and this works just fine. Probably not as good as Synapse but this works perfect if you want to add some simple affects and color changes for an Apple product!
Great app - 1 suggestion!
Under reactive mode I'd like to change it to keep the keyboard entirely lit. So it would always be on with Color 1 and then react with Color 2. For example, keyboard is backlit white. As I type, it reacts in purple.
great
i have a razer huntsman mini and a razer dethadder v2 and it recognised both of them and i could do lits of cool affects. great app
Excellent little utility for anyone that owns Razer devices and uses a Mac.
I've got a bunch of Razer peripherals that are no longer officially supported on my Mac. While I've found 3rd party utilities to control the settings on some of these devices, none of these utilities control the colors — except this app. I installed ChromaX and, right away, it detected my Razer devices and now I finally have everything synchronized to the same colors.
Didn't work
MacBook Pro 15" 2018 OS Monterey 12.3.1 Razer Black Widow V3 Mini keyboard. Chroma didn't recognize it either plugged in or on bluetooth, but at least it didn't break anything. Neither did it recognize Roccat Kova. Tried restarting on several occasions. Work in progress I guess.
- Added support for a few more devices
