The calculator looks good and functions well, but the widget is barely usable. Click too many times too fast and the calculator opens. This defeats the purpose of the widget and my main reason for buying it. This is a problem and needs fixed with an option to select different click intervals or something.

A lot of the calculator apps I have used in the past had the placement of the ‘0’ come before the ‘.’ and ‘+/-‘. When I am using this app, I find myself unconsciously pressing ‘+/-‘ when intending to press ‘0’. If customization is allowed on this app, this will make it an A+ app and appeal to more users. I suggest customizing so that the bottom buttons come in the following order: 0, . , +/- which is the order of frequent usage.

This is a clean looking and efficient app but with a fatal flaw: Divide 1 by 3 and you will get an answer that omits the first digits of the answer. Instead of getting “0.3333333333…”, you get “…333333333333…” which is basically useless. Needs fixing. ————————————————————————- The developer fixed the issue right away. I couldn’t be happier with their response. Now the app is clean-looking, effective and perfect!

I love this caulculator… looks nice, and is not loaded with a bunch of scientific calculator features that I’ll never use. The widget feature, however, is the main reason I purchased it, but there’s a usability problem with it… if you tap a number multiple times in rapid succession in the widget, it opens the app. In other words, if you are trying to calculate 44x7, chances are when you hit that second 4, it’s going to open the app (unless you deliberately wait a half second or so between taps). Perhaps this is intended, but it makes the widget very frustrating to use. There have been several updates to the app since I originally posted this review, and I excitedly recheck the functionality each time, hoping it’s been fixed, but so far it hasn’t. I’m likely going to uninstall it, and I regret the purchase.
