BrowserSwitch is a Safari Extension that can seamlessly open any Safari page in other web browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox. BrowserSwitch supports both opening a page or switching it: opening it on an external browser and closing it in Safari. You can invoke the “Switch” and “Open” actions both from the BrowserSwitch Extension window and directly in the Safari contextual menu by right-clicking in the webpage content. BrowserSwitch also supports configuring a preferred external browser and Auto-Switch mode for each website. With the powerful Auto-Switch mode enabled BrowserSwitch will automatically switch any page opened on that website to the selected external browser. Notes: * You can enable the BrowserSwitch Extension from the Extensions section of the Safari Preferences pane. * You can open and switch any web page or configure the preferred external browser and Auto-Switch mode for websites from the BrowserSwitch button in the Safari toolbar. * Once Auto-Switch mode is enabled for a website, it can be disabled on the BrowserSwitch app. Privacy by Design: BrowserSwitch works completely on-device and does not store or send any information outside of the protected app sandbox.
Just add one thing for the last star...
Wild cards for doamins. I'd like *.google.com, for example for I don't have to use seperate entries for each sub-domain for a primary domain. Otherwise, I like it so far!
Pretty good!
Makes the "look up X" button actually open in Chrome! I kinda wish it would quit Safari after launching the chosen browser though (not sure if Safai extensions are allowed to do that, not a dev).
Easy to use & allows for automations!
I've tried several of these browser-switching apps, and this is my favorite. It adds options to your right-click menu to open in another browser OR switch to another browser (which means it closes in Safari and opens in the other one). But what really sets this extension apart is that you can customize and automate your browser switching. For instance, zencastr.com doesn't work in Safari. So the first time you go there, you click on the BrowserSwitch icon and from then on, anytime you go there, it will AUTOMATICALLY open the site in your other browser instead. This is HUGELY helpful so you don't have to manually switch every time, like you do with other extensions. Solid extension, hoping for continued development (for instance, would love that right-cilck context menu to appear in other browsers to send you back to Safari). Great stuff!
Does the job!
Great app for opening/redirecting websites to other browsers from Safari. I've tested a few others and this is the only one that provides the behavior I was looking for, which were 1. being able to *automatically* send specific domains to other browsers while 2. closing that tab on Safari. Of course, as a new app there's space for improvements. Here are a few suggestions: - Being able to add custom rules from the app and not only from the extension would be great.
