PSA - Doesn’t seem to work with contactless payments
First two times I tried to use the app I did the tap to pay with my credit card via Apple Wallet. Both of those are still “pending” two weeks later (about $15 cash back in limbo). I physically swiped my card yesterday and it worked — got my “earned cash back” email today, but the app doesn’t show it. Something buggy about how the app deals with payments— use with caution.

I have had this app for several months and despite my high expectations, I am disappointed. The past 2 months, at least, I’ve had more “expired” of my purchases than rewards. I buy gas almost exclusively at Circle K and I have missed out on many purchases where it says “processing” then after a week or so, it turns to “expired” What’s up with that?

No cash back. I look back at the history and they all say expired for the past 2 months with no balance. I always hit ‘I’ve Paid’ after every transaction at the gas station but never receive the cashback. Even then it was really small amounts of cashback that was offered. Not worth it.

The first, and only, time I used Upside I drove to the gas station listed on Upside. It was selling gas for $4.09/gallon, but I could get $.61 off per gallon. Only after pumping the gas did I find out how it really works. The receipt from the gas station HAS to have certain information on it in order to qualify. My receipt did not have the address of the gas station on it so I got zero money back. RIPOFF!
