Something is Up Here, not Trips
This app worked so well, but the most recent version seems to have issues. It is not importing my trips sometimes and there is no logic to when it occurs. The customer service is not very helpful as the only response is asking if I am using the correct email to forward the itinerary. I paid for the Pro version and it is becoming very frustrating now.
Wont open
downloaded and spent 20 minutes just trying to get it open but kept getting app errors. ended up finding another planning app to use
Spending time de-bugging rather than updating
I use this app like all the time. I travel both simple and complex trips. There are some bugs. It just seems like everytime there is an update its just fixing bugs rather than expanding the usefulness and appearance of the app. They are lucky that Tripsy is all appearance and not substance because it looks good until you try to use it . . . but if there is another app that starts to become more funmctional. Tripit, needs to get a move on and progress the app. I have sent suggestions etc so they can't say they haaven't heard it.
Intrusive privacy requirement
This app now requires the customer to supply a date of birth to use it. This is unreasonable as it it certainly not required for basic functionality. A terrible change.
Outdated and buggy
I use TripIt all the time and the web-site keeps evolving. However the app continues to receive no attention. Not native on Apple Sillicon, it sports the old desing, has continuing problems updating and refreshing information (and when it does, taking minutes to do so - seemlingly resetting everytime you close and start). Wish I could use it but it's not close to on par with the iOS app or the website.
Getting better, not equal to iOS ver, no M1 support
The app is slowly getting better and more feature-rich, and I enjoy having it to launch versus having to go to the web app. Still, many features and edit capabilities are still missing versus the web-site or iOS version, and the app still isn't Apple M1 native or universal and thus needs to run under Rosetta2
Not even close to the iOS version
This app needs a lot of work! I've used TripIt on my phone for years (iOS) and it's worked very nicely. The experience on the Mac is another story. Syncing is slow and not always complete. Then the last update appears to have broken everything. It launches and crashes. Hmmm.... Guess I'll just stick to the web-based version on the Mac and the app on iOS.
