I drive for landstar O/O membership # LS423532 Ok so here is my experience: 4 months ago+- was in Milford CT for a couple days layover at the pilot. Truck wouldn’t start batteries so I called for a jump. Being that I was there for a couple was not considered roadside emergency 🤬ok so on 5/24 just east of council Bluffs Iowa my 🛑 engine light comes on and 2 seconds later no power not electrical but mechanical. (I replaced all my batteries since CT) So I call for a tow! It went like this!!! Roadside how may we assist you. I’m broke down and my truck won’t start!! What is your location. Would you like us to send out a service truck. Being a mechanic in my early days I new it was much more than a service call!! No need a tow truck. Ok let us find a towing service in the area and we will get back to you. 5 minutes later get a call back saying my request is rejected because they feel it is related to my previous request for a jump? I told them I can sit here and crank the motor all day long (new batteries) sorry Mr Owens you can try filling a claim after you prove it’s not related to the previous request (which was declined). Have tried twice now to file a claim was told twice we will have someone call you back. Nothing!!! So do what you want with my story!! All I know is I’m very VERY active on LANDSTAR social media sites and will be sharing my experience to the thousands of O/O
