Dark and not US friendly
Insufficient lighting. Very dark. Curtain ripped and dirty. Poor value for the amount of money this hotel charges. No electric outlets for US devices. Two different elevators to get to our room. Very modern room, but not very comfortable. Will not be back.
3 nites at Park Plaza
We had an excellent stay. Loved the location and vibrance of the area, great staff, phenomenal views and completely accessible room. Every request we had was met so well. Recommend this place highly - we could walk everywhere - to Big Ben, London Eye, shops, restaurants, coffee.
Not happy
On the first night sleeping, I became aware that my king size bed was two twin beds shoved together. I had booked two connecting rooms with king size beds. That is not what I got or paid for after talking with the front desk Tuesday morning I was told they could not move us till Wednesday now the two rooms are connecting one with a king bed the other with a queen, which is a handicap room, which is anything but convenient or comfortable for a non-handicapped person. Neither room has a viewable window which the other rooms did. Would be nice if people would just properly do their jobs something that has disappeared in the age of post Covid. So I sit here disgusted but what am I supposed to do? Keep complaining that only seems to make the situation worse. I stayed here four years ago and had a good experience. I am pretty sure I will not be coming back again.
Victoria by Amsterdam Central
The location is great and staff helpful. This review is about the lousy rewards program and lack of communications. Reward point are impossible to follow or track and can’t speak to anyone. Several months after our stay and still don’t know how many points earned. Can’t speak to anyone about it. Very poor customer experience
My Review
Pros: concierges are wonderful, knowledgeable, always smiling, and happy to help. Hotel is clean, beds are comfortable. Restaurant waitstaff eager to respond and resupply. Croissants are wonderful. Cons: Room service is poor, food cold, limited and not tasty. Rooms are small, no face towels, and too dark. Breakfast buffet eggs are powder eggs and watery. Food choices are horrible. Coffee is bad. Ice tea not available. Poor Bloody Mary drinks. Room did not have atrium view unless you call looking at windows a view. No microwave. Tiny showers. I would not stay here again.

Useless, could not access anything. Showed concierge to see what I was missing, and the answer was a shrug. No better use for him either. Good to check in and out, and add details for guests. Could not even access room service.
No access for a wheelchair!
When we arrived to check in, the front desk person told us that since we had a wheelchair we were going to be moved to the next door sister hotel. The Victoria Plaza hotel has no access from the street for a wheelchair. Except, if you go on the side alley, then they have a small lift on the staircase which at first did not work. It took a while for the hotel staff to get it to work, just to find out that the wheelchair didn’t even fit in it. We then went to the hotel next door, which looked like a nightclub and was as expensive. This was not what I wanted to book for a hotel and ended up cancelling and reserving at the Hilton. This was a terrible experience, especially when you need access for a wheelchair.
