The Journey by Bytemark App offers the easiest way to buy passes for public transit. Just sign up, purchase fares from any of our partner agencies, present your pass to the operator while boarding, and you're off! You can also purchase a ticket for someone else and send it to them through the app. Pay using Credit, Debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. You can also split payments between credit cards. Happy Journey !!!
Doesn’t work
Won’t accept my credit card even though it says it’s alright. Won’t let me delete the credit card that has been accepted but won’t work. Can’t accept Apple Pay- Lost $20 on their previous app Passage which I cannot access. Total failure.
Easy way to pay my bus fare
Super easy to pay for my bus fare and show the driver my ticket on the phone
Simple to use!
Was able to buy a ticket and ride quickly without any hassle
Inaccessible for Blind, I Don't Recommend
I have been a user of these mobile apps for CARTS in metro Austin since late 2018. Until now, they used Passage which was quite good in terms of accessibility. I'm blind, travel to and from work at a university in a near by town and I work in disability services. I am telling any agency considering this app, don't drop the ball like CARTS did. This app would be useless to me if not for the help of my wife, if I were single, I would be locked out of the service. You cannot on your own add a debit or credit card, the pulldown for entering the expiration year and month defaults to the current month and it is not editable within iOS. It presents as an uneditable field, rather than a pull down that can be properly adjusted. On the screen where I have to choose my agency, there is a pulldown where I do see my options, but the menu choice does not activate when you tap it, thus it doesn't bring you to the done button to confirm your choice. If you can't put in your credit card and you cannot choose the service as a blind person without sited help, then you have one very useless and badly designed app. Who ever designed this needs to go back to Apple app design school for accessibility and they are opening transit agencies to real and genuine legal action in violation of ADA by using this badly flawed product. This took a giant byte out of accessibility.
Slow
App is slow and requires CVV code every time I buy tickets. Never had that before.
We usually update the app for better functionality and improvements
