Amazing places
We have been enjoying Harvest Host for a few years and can’t say enough about it. We have stayed at such a wonderful variety of establishments, many of which we never would have explored without finding them on Harvest Host! Such wonderful people and venues. We haven’t yet been disappointed!
Expected payment
The premise of this program was that it was “free” to stay. We always go in, explore, pay but that hosts are making it mandatory may cost you our membership. Especially golf courses, which we pay extra for, who will not accept a request without a tee time. We don’t golf but we have never stayed at a golf course without spending money…driving range, food, drinks, something from pro shop.
Travelers dream
For one traveling in need of a night stay without the expense of a traditional campground, this can’t be beat! The membership fee will pay for itself in a couple of nights. Recently being retired we have stayed at venues while traveling that were more than a place to park. I will typically look for a place that offers food and drink to make it easier on both of us. We have stayed at some extremely picturesque settings and have met other travelers from around the country.
Bad hosts
I think harvest hosts will allow anyone to be a host
The must have membership for every RVer!
I’m biased, but I think Harvest Hosts is the one membership that every RVer must have. It is the most fun part of every trip for me, and I still have over 5,000 more Hosts to visit!
Poorly designed
You have to enter all your information to find out that your requested dates are unavailable even though you have filtered the information to provide available dates. Another app that takes your money and provides very little. Welcome to The modern America.
Predatory
Even if you cancel your service they will charge your card anyway. They will sign you up AND charge you for stuff you never approved. When you contact them all you see is a chat bot. Be smart and pass on unless you want to spend all sorts of your time disputing charges, arguing, and trying to navigate intentionally confusing websites. They are legit predatory when it comes to your money. Its awful.
