!! Warning !!! Bikes with SC-E8000 display are not supported!!! Shimano did not endow this display with the ability to output telemetry via Bluetooth. STRide App is designed to record your ride session on Shimano STеPS E-bikes (EP801, EP600, EP8, E8000, E7000, E6100, E5000 motors are supported). The App supports external HRM sensors via Bluetooth. Displays bike's Speed, Cadence, Assist mode and Assist Level, Battery state, Range, Di2 data (gears), Distance, GPS data, HRM, Acceleration, Altitude (via Barometer sensor). The STRide App has the ability to view and analyze recorded sessions. Recorded sessions can be exported to GPX, FIT formats for import into STRAVA and other apps. STRide has integration with STRAVA service. This App shows the real Speed/Distance of the bike according to correction factors The App has integration with Apple Watch (controlling the App, getting Heart Rate from Watch, displaying basic parameters) and Health App integration.
Long time phone user, starting with the watch version
Long time phone user, starting with the watch version. Seems easily readable, as the phone version. The range in the watch display needs to be corrected: mentions “km”, while showing miles. This was corrected earlier in the phone display.
Doesn’t work
I’m only writing this here because there is no other way to contact the developer. I have a Shimano EP8 RS and purchased this app to increase the torque. I read all the PDF directions before I purchased the app and it’s not as per the directions. You cannot make any adjustments at all. I have the latest firmware version as well. I will report back with a positive review if the developer refunds my purchase or helps figure out what’s wrong.
Cannot connect to my bike
I was able to finish the pairing and love that it shows my Heart Rate via my Apple Watch. The key is - if you are using an Apple Watch - to have the app opened but the phone not connected yet, then open the app on the iPhone, and connect it. If it fails make sure you disconnect the app on the phone, then try again. Oh and when I change the assist level the watch responds via haptic alerts. Really cool. So the app shows a lot of info on the dashboard, including the actual battery percentage which is not showing on my Shimano display (I only see up to 5 bars), the remaining miles based on the Assist Level, shows the current heart rate and the average heart rate, the assist level… and much more!
Perfect companion for Orbea Rise M10
The M10 doesn’t come with a display, I like that it makes the bike more stealth. Thanks to this app I can glance at my Apple Watch to get an update in batt percentage during my rides. The Shimano ETube app is garbage.

I love this app and use it daily for my Orbea Rise…works great!

I love this app and use it daily for my Orbea Rise, but there is now a bug with the latest version and it keeps losing connection with my bike when used with my Apple Watch!
Wonderful application.
I’ve been using with EP8 for close to 2,000 miles - couldn’t ask for a better app to accompany my bike. Updated to the latest version, and for the past two weeks the application disconnects from the motor without warning and stops recording rides. Known issue? Fix in the horizon? Either way, thank you!
+ EP801/EP6 support (FineTuning mode, additional data) + Map rotation option + Option for pausing music/reduce volume during voice announcements + "Assist profile" now showing in "Assist Mode" description, as well as separate parameter + Calories per Hour parameter + Average per 1/5/10/30/60 minutes for Speed, Cadence, Assist Level and Heart Rate parameters + New customizable arc gauges on dash screen (by default) + Garmin FIT import & export = minor fixes
