After downloading and, of course, immediate payment to them they say “wait a week or two to download the current issue (you get no back issues). A week in, still can’t download anything. Completely ruined this whole brand for me.

I was a long time subscriber to the print edition of Cycle World and had just re-upped for 3 years (36 issues) when they announce the change to a Quarterly publication. OK, I should have about 7 years then as I have another 28 or 29 issues to go. Then they announce Cycle World is ceasing print publication and will be online through this app only, and the app isn’t honoring/recognizing the balance of even my 3-year subscription, let alone the remaining 24-25 issues. Only way to read Cycle World now is to buy a new subscription at $11.99/year. No way. I love motorcycles and motorcycling, but I’m done with Cycle World.

unfortunately the app is horrible, but what is truly sad is the new format. sure, it has better photos, but more often than not the subject of said photos is a rusted coffee can or the gas tank of 1967 sears 125cc...in other words, hipsters longing for the past who didn’t realize that their attempt to make the magazine more appealing to their bearded/flannel brethren ended up contributing to the demise of one of the last great print magazines on motorcycles.

App consistently signs me out, then refuses to let me back in and doesn’t recognize my account, and there’s no phone support. A lot of wasted time when there’s a print edition available at the same price.
