Decent content. App, not so much
Even worse than the app not functioning that well are the commenters
Great app
Seamless update. Thanks to Greg and team for keeping everything humming
Invest in app development
BSJ (Greg), The writing is good. So much so that often I wish to comment on the article. I read your articles on my iPhone. I should be able to comment on them within the app ON MY iPHONE!! Stop telling people to use their desktop to comment. You look and sound like a chump. Actually invest some money in app development. This shouldn’t be an issue years after launch.
Well worth the price
As a recent convert from The Athletic, I so appreciate BSJ’s style. They cover everything they need to cover in just the right amount of depth. The reporting and writing is high quality. And the app is clean and simple, everything it should be and nothing it shouldn’t. As much as I love The Athletic, it got too big for me—I often felt content overload. Reading BSJ is a far simpler experience. Highly recommend a download and a subscription!
I love the content, but sick of not being able to post comments
Whenever I try to post a comment it says “Some of field value is invalid”, even if I try to post a single letter or number. I have to select all, cut and then open a separate safari browser, find the article I was just reading, log on and paste my comment through that. It’s getting really annoying really quick. This should be a five star review, because the content is excellent, the layout is amazing but the ease of access (which is the point in having the app versus going on the website through a web browser) is bad. Please fix this problem.
Software issues
Great sports reporting , not enough of Greg Bedard , he is the best . The App is vey slow , If I select Patriots and then try to view another team the App hangs up and freezes . It's a pain to get out and then return to view another team.
Good enough
I can’t up or down vote comments, which is annoying. Rest of the app works well enough.
