Not really about spider guard
Unfortunately this app has little to do with spider guard. The vast majority of it's content has to do with the basics of the triangle and omaplata. Of course, those are very important attacks for a solid spider guard game, but one would expect a 20 dollar app to focus on multiple entries specifically from the spider guard into the omaplata and triangle positions. This is supposed to be the fundamentals of the spider guard and very little time was dedicated to the intricacies of keeping the position, grip and elbow control, weight distribution, etc. The omaplata and triangle segments which dominated the app were very basic/limited and would be better left to their own individual apps. I haven't purchased the remaining apps in this series and likely will not given the content of the first IMO overly priced intro.

This app is a game changer for me. I have all of the Spider Guard series and it has helped me so much in so many ways. I am coming around to the end of my first year in BJJ. I was getting smashed by heavier bigger oppenents. This series is everything. It has given me the skills to control distance, sweep, and submit.. as comfortably as uncomfortable can be. What was once a nemisis is now just some more slight work ont he mat. What's beautiful also is that you can watch over and over until the technique is pounded into your memory. Not like a class wher you see it once and maybe not again for a few weeks and every time I review I pick up yet another small piece I may have missed that tightens the game up that much more. 👍🏼 I highly recommend. P.s. Visually,, the app looks great. Crsp video and easy to manouver around.
