Avid cyclists at Edison Gauss Publishing created this bicycle tire pressure calculator based on research by Frank Berto, as published in the Spring 2007 issue of Bicycle Quarterly magazine. The app calculates optimal front and rear tire pressures for bicycles.
Good concept. POOR EXECUTION
There are lots of glitches in the app that make it lose imputed information. Also it doesn’t remember my bike. On top of that you cannot even contact the seller. They have an input error on their contact form. Seems like common theme.
Doesn’t do much of anything
Downloaded and opened it up. Just gives me a page entitled ‘bikes’. That’s it. Nothing more. Nada.
Does not remember
The app does not remember an added bike. Annoying
Fantastic app!!!
Was skeptical at first but it really works! The ride became more comfortable, less air pressure=comfort, and actually made me faster!!! Also, most importantly..I never got a pinch flat after using this app! Highly recommend!!!
Best tire press calculator
I read the article that explained the equations used to calculate tire droop and contact patch. As a mechanical engineer, I agree that this method is the best for estimating optimum pressures. I’ve done lots of follow-up testing on my own, measuring tire droop and conclude that the equations used in this app are good.
