Tweetbot is an award-winning, full-featured* Twitter client for the Mac. It has a beautiful interface with light & dark themes, multiple-column support and much more. * Twitter does not grant 3rd party apps access to every single feature that is available on Twitter’s website. ————————————————— Notable Features: ————————————————— Expandable Sidebar. Tweetbot’s new optional expanded sidebar provides one-click access to all of your subsections like lists, direct message conversations, and saved searches. Drag & Drop Columns. Columns have been redesigned from the ground up to be faster and easier to use. Just drag the column circle to the right to add columns and back to the left to hide them. Columns persist even when hidden. Better Media. Automatically play videos and GIFs in your timeline with a quick mouseover. A click on media opens it up in our lightning fast new media viewer. The powerful timeline filters from Tweetbot for iOS are finally on the Mac. Quickly filter a timeline to show only tweets with media, retweets, links, or create your own keyword or rules-based filters. Mute Filters. Needs QoL Improvements
I don't usually leave reviews... but, I've used Tweetbot for years and it seems to not get any attention anymore. There are display issues. I subscribed to them thinking it would be worth it, but I'm not continuing the subscription. If I see quality of life improvements, I'll come back.
It’s still the best Twitter client
The app hasn’t been updated in six months but is still the best alternative to the mess of a first-party Twitter client and web. I read on Twitter that an update is in the works - looking forward to it.
can not open

Used to be great
Used to be great, but seems massively neglected now. Not updated for new api, barely even getting anyting more than minimum bug fixes. It should at least be brought upt to match mobile version.
Team seems to h ave given up on this
App is still working but with no updates in 5 months and twitter now rapidly evolving/iterating it probably doesnt make sense to use this app any more. Especially if you have a M1 or M2 Mac and can install the iOS Twitter client now on the mac.
Blew off the dust and cobwebs - needs an update!
I have always loved Tweetbot, it's an incredible user experience and an incredible twitter client. Sadly the Mac version has not received the love that the iOS/iPadOS version has. The Mac version needs to be refreshed! Three stars because its a good solution - but an app that is showing its age.
Not as feature complete as iOS version
I use it because it keeps track of my position in lists and doesn't have all the ads that twitter does. BUT, it is sorely missing features that the iOS version does. I'm glad they took the time to update it years ago, but it really hasn't changed much since then. Another Mac OS version that isn't being supported as well as the iOS apps.
- Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause your own Tweets to show up under mentions.
