Session is a new breed of private messenger, built on a unique network of user-operated servers spread all over the world. With no central servers, Session can’t leak or sell your data. And with Session’s private routing protocols, your messages are completely anonymous. No one ever knows who you’re talking to, what you’re saying, or even your IP address. • Fully anonymous account creation: No phone number or email needed to create a Session ID • Decentralised server network: No data breaches, no central point of failure • No metadata logging: Session doesn't store, track, or log your messaging metadata • IP address protection: Device IP addresses are never exposed to the person you're talking to or the servers holding your data • Closed groups: Private, end-to-end encrypted group chats for up to 100 people • Secure attachments: Share voice snippets, photos, and files with Session's secure encryption and privacy protections • Free and open-source: Don’t take our word for it — check Session's code yourself Session is free as in free speech, free as in free beer, and free of ads and trackers. Session is built and maintained by the OPTF, Australia’s first privacy tech not-for-profit organisation. Take back your online privacy today — download Session. Edit message feature
I this we should be able to edit messages here too This app is really great and I must say you did a very fantastic job I feel If that feature is added It will make it really really good Keep up the good work ❤️🩹
Never been able to even use it
Every time I try to get into session it never lets me add anyone, I type their and/or copy and paste it over but both are invalid sooo
I love the app
I really loved the app, it feels so secure but still missing some features. Is a shame that nobody use it in my personal circle. Soon I’ll try to contribute with code 🤓
Love the app but 1 issue
I had gotten rid of the app for 1 day in order to download something else I needed and when I got back on I realized I couldn’t see or receive any of the pdfs pictures or videos I had been previously received or currently and getting sent, it’s just a green bar that slides back and forth under the video would like to see this issue resolved in some way, I’ve had the app again for 3 days, closed and opened it and still nothing
Nice app for private messaging but . . .
I’m a Wicker refugee, of which I’m sure there are many. One of the main things I find strange is not having the ability to edit a msg after it’s been sent. For a workaround-if the recipient hasn’t read it yet, you can Copy the message and paste it, making the necessary edits and then sending it, after which you can then delete the original, making sure you choose “delete for self and recipient” <- a nice feature in and of itself. Other than that there is a glitch I often encounter. When a new message comes in from the user you’re currently messaging- it doesn’t show up on the screen like if you’re typing a reply and they send another message while you’re still on the screen with both your messages, it doesn’t appear. I have to back out of the conversation to look at the list of contacts and then I’ll see it and when I go back into the conversation, the new message is there. I’m on an iPhone 14 Pro Max Thanks in advance for your attention to this matter.

Questions regarding disappearing messages
Hi, My friend and I both have iPhones. The timers and disappearing messages worked fine until the latest update. Now if my friend is on their iPhone and leaves me messages the timer does not work? However, if my friend is on their Hp windows computer the timer does work? Does my friend need to link his phone to the computer? I mean it worked before the latest update on their iPhone with out being linked. This is really a problem I see more than just myself is having since your latest update. Help please, thanks.
• Disappearing Messages now has two modes, Disappear after Send and Disappear After Read • When Disappear after Send is selected, messages will disappear from sender, recipient and network simultaneously a set time after they have been sent, regardless of whether the recipient has received or read the message. • When Disappear after Read is selected, messages will disappear for the sender and the sender’s swarm a set time after they have been sent, and for the recipient and the recipient’s swarm a set time after they have been read. Messages which haven’t been read after 14 days will disappear for the recipient and their swarm. • Both options will be available in 1-1 chats, but only Disappear after Send will be available in Groups. Neither will be available in Communities. • This release includes the new version of Disappearing Messages, however the feature won't be enabled until March 13th 10am AEDT, this will give users time to update their clients to be able to interpret the new type of messages
