App has gone downhill
A few years back this app was awesome with higher quality pictures, descriptions, and overall quality of products. Now they just take pictures of taped boxes, no description on if anything could be damaged or broken, and insurance used to be relative to costs of the product. It has turned pretty shady so please do as much research as possible and if possible go look at the product before you purchase. That seems to be the only way not to be scammed. I have also noticed a lot of the upc links don’t go to the actual product or the product they link is drastically cheaper than what is listed on the app so it seems you are getting a better deal. This is basically a resale of garbage Amazon products and you are better off ordering from Amazon directly.

Keep in mind this is an auction, not a target or store that you can just go up and return things if you don’t like them. Remember to get insurance if it is a high price item because when it says open box, you really don’t know what you’re getting unless you inspect the item before bidding, which I highly suggest. I bought a $300 bidet toilet seat that I checked in the parking lot because the box was making noises that I thought was odd. Fortunately, I opened it because there was poop and pubic hair on the bottom of the toilet seat. It was used. I can’t even believe they are allowed to sell some of the things they sell. I took it back inside and told them what I found, and they were completely unaffected and just made the return because I had insurance. Another time I bought a open box coffee pot that looked like the person that returned it, had used it for five years, and just bought a new pot and put the old one in the new box. I also bought a shower surround that only had piece of the surround in the box. My list goes on and on. so you might ask why do I buy from this auction still? The answer is because I do still get deals. It is a 50-50. One auction I might get a deal and the next auction might be a return. They are making their money regardless because I’m paying insurance so they are still making money off of me by keeping my insurance money. I’m not saying don’t buy anything from them. I’m just saying inspect the item first or make sure you get insurance.

If you have not seen the item in person, inspected as much as possible, don’t bid on this site, or buy the protection, every time. I use to dumpster dive in college, and 99% of these offerings are garbage, and you’re paying for the privilege of a trip to the landfill.
