This app seemed tailored to my needs: giving someone a cash value that wasn't tethered to any brand name store via text messages. Once one establishes an account with the desired value for the recipient, the guft card can be sent using their name and cell phone number. They receive a text, download the app to access and accept the gift. A confirmation of the successful transaction is sent, followed up with a text that the person did indeed spend their gift card. A huge plus - the value can be immediately transferred by the recipient to either Apple Wallet or Google Pay. The name DONO is unusual, clever and bridges multiple languages. The service is efficient and highly practical, allowing funds to be used as the recipient prefers. The whole concept is executed seemlessly. Customer service is friendly, responsive and prompt. I was sent and accepted a gift card. Then suddenly, 2 hours later, it’s gone. It keeps telling me i was sent the gift card in the notifications tab, but when i accept, it errors out. And I can’t get a reply from support. Don’t lose your money!
