Not good
This is not worth the money. They only a few words to translate from English which is disappointing they should have all words. And they only have züridüütsch they don’t have other dialects. And lots of the words translate to hopp deutsch like for an example be careful in Swiss German is bazuuf and the app says Achtung
Good, but limited vocabulary
The layout and organization are very good. It’s easy to quickly look up a translation, and the audio clips are extremely useful. The only issue with this app is that the vocabulary is quite limited. I’m not referring to specialized trade-words; even many very common words are missing. For example, words like “duck” (both noun and verb), “assemble” (e.g. what one would do with IKEA furniture), “deer”, “install”, “squint”, “giggle”, “kick”, and many more are missing.
Very Helpful Sound Recordings
While it may only be a sort of dictionary for Swiss German words, I found the sound recordings especially helpful. The greatest difference between Hochdeutsch and Schwyzerdüütsch is the pronunciation, so this is a great resource.
Well made Swiss German-English dictionary
The only critique I have is that all the Swiss German sentences (examples) should have had an accompanying audio, not just the words.
Thumbs way up
I LOVE this app. So worth the money when living in Switzerland and trying to learn the local dialect. Very easy to use and navigate. Highly recommended
Terrible dictionary
This dictionary has the vocabulary of a four-year old. I bought it to do research in the Swiss Federal Archives. Could not locate basic words like aussenwirtschaftsbericht. What a waste of money! Would like a refund.
