Great, with some bugs
Love the app. When reading commentaries and a verse is cited, you can click on the verse (which is underlined) and a pop-up will appear with the scripture; However, you can’t scroll down to read the verse. It only allows you to see a preview of the verse (like one sentence). Thats the only issue I’ve come across.
Excellent Devotional Resource
This app is wonderful. The variety of Bible text versions serves the reader well. Moreover, Bible Portal may well be the only Bible app that offers the NIV 84 text. Well done, Christian Post. Thank you for this invaluable tool.
Complete Bible Study
This app and website have it all. Everything at your fingertips and a wealth of information. Thank you for a great resource since 2003.
Audio Needed
Great app. Like the 1984 version but I listen to audio a lot so probably won’t use as often. Please consider adding audio.
Great commentary and devotionals
I primarily use this app for the devotionals, but the available free commentaries are also great and a couple of them may even be unique to this app. The only real inconvenience is the verse reference at the bottom of a devotional doesn’t take me to the Bible passage. That would be a nice feature.
Commentaries problem
The commentaries on iPhone suddenly get message “something went wrong. This is the screen your users will see in production when an error is thrown. You’ll want to customize this message (located in ‘app/i18n/en.json’) and probably the layout as well (‘app/screens/error’). If you want to remove this entirely, check ‘app/app.thx’ for the <ErrorBoundary> component. TypeError:undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘j.data.length’) When I reset app it goes back to Bible passage.
