The Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Emergency Management Division (AFCEC/CXR) has produced a new product the Air Force “Be Ready” Mobile App. This app supports the Air Force “Be Ready” Awareness Campaign and complements the Air Force Emergency Preparedness Guide. This app offers the user (military, civilians, contractors, and family members) key resources and personalized selections needed for a disaster/hazard emergency. It includes a list of all the threat information contained in the Air Force Emergency Preparedness Guide. It also includes a functional and customizable emergency supply checklist along with a function that allows users to add important telephone numbers, websites and an option to develop a family emergency plan. Additionally, the family emergency plan function allows members to add important data such as family information, insurance policy information, utilities information and much more.
Needs update to include pandemics
I’m surprised this app has not been updated with COVID-19 or emergencies regarding virus outbreaks. Also user interface is off on my iPad Air 2. Overall this app is a great idea and has great information, however there is definite rom for improvement and dire need of updates regarding to current events that would pertain to this app.
Limited Capability
Basic information that is already available on ready.gov and other sites. Using the American Red Cross app that has location services as well as a number of other options available this app does not (tornado alerts, flashlights etc).
Solid Start/Limited Capability
Presents info readily available via most EM websites. No location services used to provide valuable local info for members at home or while traveling.
Great app!!
All your disaster information in one app. I really love that it allows you to create a plan for your family. This app can be useful to anyone!
Best App out there!
So glad the app is now available on iTunes! It has everything to help me prepared for a disaster. Thank you.
Great idea, Good start.
Font is too small and info might be too wordy per screen. Spread the data out and add more pictures throughout. I would make the section for my personal info and emergency plans look different than the basic disaster info buttons, just to differentiate that this is my specific data that I added, not some generic app info.
Minor updates to nuclear explosion page.
