Zulu Mobile is a softphone client allowing users to make and receive phone calls using their business phone extension, keeping them connected when away from the office. Integrated chat messaging, presence control and visual voicemail further enhances the unified communication features of Zulu Mobile. The Zulu Mobile client is free to download and use, and requires the licensed Zulu Server Module to be installed on FreePBX or PBXact phone systems. It is designed only for users of FreePBX and PBXact phone systems, version 14 and above. Third party PBX phone systems are not supported. With Zulu Mobile, your office extension follows you wherever you are in the world, letting you make and receive office phone calls as if you were sitting in your office. It is fully integrated with your iOS device's native calling app so that Zulu Mobile phone calls work like standard phone calls. Integrated push notification technology helps preserve your device's battery life when not in use and will automatically ring your device on inbound calls. Some benefits of Zulu Mobile: - Make and receive phone calls using Wifi or mobile data to cut mobile voice charges -Dial-by-contact name allows you to call any of your colleagues by simply typing in their name, since your company directory is fully integrated -Chat with colleagues who have Zulu Mobile and/or Zulu Desktop -Push notifications preserve battery life and will 'wake up' your device and notify you on inbound calls, just like standard phone calls -One Number allows mobile users to conceal their personal phone number since their phone calls appear as if they were coming from the office. -Presence Control updates user status across all endpoint devices
Excellent…but…
Absolutely love the app! The one main thing I see missing is not being able to ask Siri to dial using Zulu. Other than that, my office uses different ring patterns on the desk phones to indicate a priority call…it’d be nice to have that available on my iPhone as well
Absolute garbage
VOIP app from developer that’s never used a phone. UI is garbage, standards ignored, crashes, awful. Wouldn’t wish this on an enemy.
Worst VOIP company ever
This developer seems to have never used software before. This app hides relevant information for no reason, ignores established practices with software interaction and generally buggy. Would not wish this on an enemy
Annoying
Doesn’t connect well enough for business use. Maybe once in a while use, but not a trusted source for our business
use something different
When able to get into the app, incoming calls cannot be answered; outgoing calls will not connect; messages cannot be checked remotely; crashes frequently (if able to get into it). It’s a nice idea; this app does not deliver the services expected. (Uninstalling/Reinstalling , Logging In/Out , allowing updates if needed— nothing has worked to get this app to function as advertised.)
Great when it works
This app is great when it works. Voicemails disappear and often do not show for two days or more. Calls are dropped about 50% of the time. However, the moments this app works properly tell me it has great potential! The developers need to work on the bugs.
Makes things much easier
We use this on our PBX—it’s been very helpful and lets me do more of my work remotely. My customers like that I’m easier to reach now.
This version brings a major platform stability upgrade to Zulu Mobile. We also resolved quite a view bugs and improved our error tracking to help improve future releases.
