The fastest way to capture and structure your thoughts: through voice. Hold record, say what you want, and release. Just like you'd expect from an outliner, create hierarchies and rearrange. Notes are auto-transcribed and searchable, but you can always play back the audio. Automatically attach location to notes. Remember walks you took, and which places sparked what ideas. This app is open source and available on GitHub. Everything is local to your device. You can back up to Google Drive and iCloud.
App keeps crashing
I’m sure it’s a great app but it won’t let me get past the tutorial without crashing.
Would be great if…
it could do punctuation. Nevertheless, I rated it five stars since it has so much going for it, especially the price!
Wen Apple Watch ?
Love it!! Wish I could add notes from my watch tho !!! 🙏🏼
Pure genius!
If you relate well to outlines, Voiceliner is the ultimate interface for fluid, on-the-fly mind-to-text processing.
Intuitive and Handy!
Fills a sweet niche in the (ever expanding) space of note taking apps! This is a great fit for on the go note taking. I really like the seamless integration between voice transcription, text notes, and location. The location is a killer feature IMO, since I often want to go back and retrace the set of steps that led to that thought (and location is a really strong cue).
Better than voice memos or typing
Voice memos are hard to organize, and writing out thoughts or notes manually doesn’t provide as much flexibility or speed as speaking. Voiceliner is an improvement because it gives me the flexibility and speed of speaking *and* the ability to quickly organize my thoughts. Great idea & implementation 💯
Lifechanging. Amazing. Simple. Effective
I am in love with this app. It connects me to my own voice, lets me ramble to myself, helps practice speaking skills, builds self-confidence. I just can’t. <3
