No Longer Works
Turning off Safari in iOS 12 on iPad results in hyperlinks no longer working instead of opening in Uptime and passing to Chrome.
Support Other Browsers
Title says it all. I’d like to move away from both Safari and Chrome for Firefox, but UpTime only supports making Chrome the default browser. Please update for other browsers.
Finally
It's a bad browser on its own but it lets you use chrome. hell yeah
Useless unless you want to use chrome
I downloaded this and PAID for it thinking it would circumvent some of Apple’s programming to allow me to use a different browser. This only works if you use Chrome. I prefer Opera Mini (Google is becoming a corporate monopolized that is taking over the world) - beware this only works with Chrome! Complete waste of $$. Two stars because it does work with Chrome, but the developers should offer other browser options.
ADD OPTION
Can you please! add Microsoft edge on “Long press” feature
Great alternative to Safari
This app basically has two features in addition to just browsing webpages: the ability to quickly open links in new tabs, and support for external keyboard shortcuts. It's an invaluable time saver when you're researching something (the search engine can be changed between Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, and Yahoo), and nice to have when you're browsing a news site—it has a bookmark feature, so you can bookmark your favorite news sources. The keyboard shortcuts are a huge time-saver when you're connected to a keyboard, and makes the app so much more pleasant to use than Safari: I can't tell you how many times I've tried to use the desktop Safari shortcuts in iOS Safari and been annoyed that they don't do anything. Worth every penny!
- Now iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad Pro compatible! - Set a default browser to open links in when long pressing
